Both of the concepts Zara and Bershka belongs to the leading retailer in the
world market Inditex. Inditex group develops eight independent concepts: Zara,
Kiddy's Class, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho and
Zara Home. Almost 65% of Inditex group sales are generated from Zara chain. At
the moment Zara is present in 63 countries with network of 992 stores in
privileged locations of major cities. Zara is in step with society, dressing
the ideas, trends and tastes that society itself has developed. That is the key
to its success among people, cultures and generations that, despite their
differences, all share a special feeling for fashion.

Bershka was created in 1998 as a new store and fashion concept from Inditex,
aimed at a younger target market. It now has 434 stores in 24 countries.
Bershka is the fastest growing concept of Inditex after Zara. Bershka is a
meeting point of street fashion, music and art. It presents the newest fashion
trends for attractive prices.

‚After the renovation and extension of shopping centre Spice, we find it one of
the best and most attractive shopping centres in Riga for consumers. Based on
this the decision to open Zara and Bershka was confirmed‘, says Rimantas
Perveneckas, Apranga Group general manager.
