On expansion of APRANGA Group in the Baltic states

On August 31, APRANGA Group, the leader of clothing retail business
in the Baltic States, is opening 2 new stores in the Centrs shopping
mall kicking off in Old Town Riga.

Just a week after report about purchase of the Dutch company’s Mexx
business in Latvia by APRANGA Group, the company is investing into
active development of the brand and is opening the second Mexx store
of 270 sq. m in Riga.

In the Centrs shopping mall, the Group is launching Latvia’s third
and largest store City for clients of the business class. Occupying
an area of almost 470 sq. m, City will feature the following brands
for men and women: Strellson, Roy Robson, Joop!, Marlboro Classic,
Betty Barclay, Bandolera, Apriori, Marella and Mariella Rosati.

After 3.5 years of operations in the Latvian capital Riga, APRANGA
Group is operating a chain of 15 stores. At least 10 new stores should
be opened in Latvia by the end of 2008: two stores of Zara, Bershka
and Pull and Bear each, as well as Ermenegildo Zegna and other brands.

In January through July of the year 2006, the turnover of APRANGA Group
in Latvia accounted for LTL 36.1 million (EUR 10.5 million) (25.3% of
total turnover of the Group) and increased by 55.4% if compared to the
turnover of the same period of the last year. According to the
non-audited data, in Latvia APRANGA Group gained profit of LTL 2.1
million (EUR 0.61 million) before tax within the first 7 months, which
is 4 times more if compared to the same period of the last year.

APRANGA Group also makes no secret of its ambitions to focus on trade
in key clothing brands and improve the competitive advantage in all
three Baltic States in the nearest future. The Group now represents
more than 40 brands in Lithuania and Latvia, also serving as
exceptional operator of Inditex-managed brands Zara, Bershka and
Pull&Bear.

APRANGA Group belongs to one of Lithuania’s largest concerns,
MG Baltic.
